What Ark Xtreme Off-Road Swivel Trailer Jack Should I Use For My Trailer?

Published 10/15/2024

Question:

I have an Aluma 6x10 enclosed trailer GVWR 2990. Tongue size 3x6. Per Jesse recommendation for an new Trailer Jack I am looking at the ARK products. With this GVWR at 2990 which would you recommend? ORJW500D @ 1100lbd ORJW750D @ 1650lb ORJW350D @ 750lbs. I want it to be strong enough to wheel it around and in place. Thx. John

Good to hear from you again, John. For your 2990 lb GVWR trailer, the 770 lb capacity Ark Xtreme Off-Road Swivel Trailer Jack # ORJW350D jack will be more than sufficient. The total tongue weight is generally about 10-%-15% of the total trailer weight. So you will probably have about 300-400 lbs of tongue weight which is well under the max capacity for the jack. There is no reason to go with a higher rated model it would just be overkill.
