Can The Optronics ThinLine LED Trailer Tail Light # STL87RCB Be Used As A Normal Tail Light

With three wires, red, black, white, I take it this can be used for a tail light and a brake light. Thanks

Hey Jim,

The Optronics ThinLine LED Trailer Tail Light # STL87RCB does have Stop, Turn, and Running Light functions so you would be able to use it as a tail light. Typically you'll see these used as tail lights on enclosed trailers because the ramp door takes up so much space on the back wall. The red wire is your stop/turn signal function, the black is your running light function, and the white wire just needs to be grounded.

Hey Jim, how did the wiring go with the Optronics ThinLine LED tail light? It’d be great to hear if the stop, turn, and running light functions all worked as expected. Your update could make it easier for others setting up similar trailer lights.
