Question:

Hi, I own a 2024 VinFast VF8. The make is VinFast and the model is the VF8. Its an all electric SUV. Its first model was 2023. Its a fairly new manufacturer selling EVs in the United States. Im looking for a trailer hitch for it. Do you have any recommendations?

Hello Stratis, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to say that we do not offer a trailer hitch for the 2024 VinFast VF8. Since these cars are so new to the US market, none of our manufacturers have developed a hitch for it yet. I am not aware of anything currently in the works though, so there is really no timetable for availability. For right now the only option for a hitch would be to take a universal hitch like the Curt # 15901 to a welder and have them fabricate something for you. That or see if there is an OEM hitch available.

Thanks for the recommendation on the universal tow hitch. I may go that route. It looks like VinFast does produce an OEM tow hitch for the EU market. https://vinfastauto.eu/en/accessories/trailer-hitch I wonder if it could be sourced and sent to the US. Do you guys at eTrailer have access to OEM parts?

@StratisF We do not have access to OEM parts so the OEM hitch is not something we are able to order for you. So, unless you can get one sent over here to the USA, taking a universal hitch to a fabricator will be the only option. It looks like there are really no custom fit products for this vehicle on the US market currently.
