Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. The Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater # KH11812 is what we recommend for your 2023 Hyundai Tucson 2.5L. This is a cartridge style heater that will clip on to the cavity of the engine block. The video below will show you everything you need to know about the Kats heater. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions for me.

I've been looking at different heaters for my 2023 Tucson and am confused on these cartridge style ones.. from what I've been reading and seeing the videos on this website, these go into a cavity and then coat with silicone to help transfer heat, but on another page this cartidge style heater lists as going into coolant, not just an empty cavity . also, this states Do not use this heater with a 100-percent antifreeze solution. if this heats the block via an empty cavity, why does the coolant matter? can you help me on this? thank you

@EricA Hey Eric, thanks for reaching out. The cartridge-style engine block heaters do clip into the cavity of the engine block and are submerged in coolant. I am not sure what other page you saw but it sounds like the description of that page is wrong. The type of fluid does matter.

@Jesse M. thanks for replying back to my question. I have installed heaters on all my vehicles over the years, but this one really puzzles me how it installs. I watched the video on this website, and it shows how this is supposed to install. I guess I don't understand how there is an empty cavity in the engine block with coolant there. all the others I've installed you have to remove a freeze plug to get to the coolant in order to heat the block. what covers the empty cavity where this one is supposed to be put? the video shows the mechanic slipping this heater into the empty cavity on the vehicle he's demonstrating, but there is no coolant and not mentioning if you have to drain the coolant to install, he just says put it into the empty cavity and use sealant around the heater to help heat the block. also, some of the reviews posted on this website gives these lousy reviews because the people have to grind off part of the heating element that goes into the cavity because it's too big to fit. also, how does this stay in the block.. that clip isn't going to hold this thing in and how does this seal so no coolant leak? not trying to bash on this heater, I just want to understand how this install. I have a 2023 Tucson and found the part number that's supposed to be for my vehicle, but there is no empty cavity for me to install this. I appreciate you time to answer my questions
