Cartridge-Style Heater
This cartridge-style heater simply clips into the cavity of your engine block. There is no need to remove the core frost plug. The power cord on the heater is removable so that you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged. The cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. Make sure the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before plugging it in.

I recommend watching the engine block review video that I have linked below. The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander has a transverse engine which would be mounted perpendicularly to the direction of travel, lying horizontally within the engine bay. You can see a diagram that shows the locations of the holes on the engine in the link below. The LF stands for left front.

This heater is by far the best thing since sliced bread. This little heater will keep the engine warm to the touch at any temp outside. Still working great after one year.
