Question:
Can led bulbs be used, to replace the incandescent bulbs, in these lights?

Hello Gregg; yes, the incandescent bulbs in the Peterson Combination Trailer Tail Light # 432400 can be swapped out for LED bulbs. This light uses an 1157 bulb for the tail light and an 1156 bulb for the turn signal. Here is what I recommend for bulbs:
- 1157 LED Bulbs - 360 Degree - Double Contact Bayonet - 600 Lumens - White - Qty 2 # ARC93FR
- 1141/1156 LED Bulb - Single Contact Bayonet - 360 Degree - 210 Lumens - Cool White - Qty 2 # DI85VR
While replacing the bulbs is possible, it may be easier and more cost-effective to just get a similar light that comes with LEDs already. Take a look at the Combination LED Trailer Tail Light # STL9RB. This is a square tail light that comes with LED bulbs.
