I have a 2010 Ford F150 FX4 with the 5.4 triton. Been looking for a snow plow. Have never used a plow before so I apologize for being naive. I’d like to know what all I’d need to get the plow on my truck. I’ve looked into mounts but then I’m reading about brackets but I thought they would go together. Please if anyone knows what all I would need to be ready this winter I would really appreciate your help! Photo of my truck added and an accident picture, my bad

Hi Winston; there are two options to mount a snow plow on your 2010 Ford F-150 FX4. If you want to use the Detail K2 Summit II Snowplow # K2SUMM8826 you looked at you will need the Custom Mounting Brackets for Detail K2 Snowplows # K281521. The brackets mount to the frame and are more secure than a hitch mounted snow plow so that is what I recommend.
If you decide you want to use a hitch mount you will need the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch # C31068. This will allow you to use a snow plow like the Detail K2 Snowplow for 2" Hitches # K2AVAL8826.
