There are a couple of considerations to check on to determine if larger ST225/75/D15 tires/wheels will fit properly on your trailer as replacements for the current ST205/75/D14 size.

First, the overall diameter of a ST225/75/D15 tire will be larger, approximately 28-1/2-inches compared to about 26-1/4-inches for a ST205/75/D14. You will need to ensure there is enough clearance for the tire to mount, plus space enough to allow for normal deflection of the suspension. Please refer to the linked article.

You also need to make sure that your new tire/wheel combo has the same bolt pattern as your original. The most common bolt pattern for trailer tires of this size is 5-on-4-1/2. The linked article and video will help you confirm what bolt pattern your hubs have.

You can then use the link provided to see all available tire/wheel combinations and select the tire type, bolt pattern and load range you want. For example, Kenda # AM3S874 is a bias ply tire on an aluminum wheel with a 5-on-4-1/2 bolt pattern and a Load range D rating.

Please note that increasing your tire's load range rating does not increase your trailer's weight carrying capacity. Trailer tires should always be inflated to their maximum pressure as indicated on the tire sidewall.
