This setup is built for serious towing miles. The Westlake ST205/75R15 radial tire carries a Load Range D (8-ply) rating and handles up to 2,150 lbs at 65 psi. With its L speed rating of 75 mph, it stays cool and steady at highway speeds. Double steel belts, double polyester plies, and a nylon tread-firming overlay keep the tread stable and help prevent separation so you can roll long and smooth.

The gunmetal Margay Series aluminum wheel looks sharp and holds up to hard use. It measures 15" x 6" with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and a 3.19" pilot diameter, giving a solid base for heavy loads. The aluminum construction is durable, lightweight, and rustproof, with an automotive-grade clear coat that helps protect from scuffs and scratches over time.
This tire-and-wheel assembly meets DOT, FMVSS, and SAE J1204 specifications so it’s built to precise safety standards. The radial design keeps rolling resistance low and heat buildup minimal while offering reliable grip for high-speed towing. It’s made specifically for trailer use, with sturdy sidewalls built to handle the extra load stress that comes with hauling.
There’s real backup behind this combo. You get complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years—available 24/7 across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico—plus a 1-Year No Excuses Guarantee that replaces the tire if it’s damaged in any way not covered by warranty during the first year. That kind of support keeps you rolling without worry when miles add up.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Westlake ST 205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D mounted on this 15 inch gun metal gray Margay series aluminum wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now, this is a tire and wheel assembly, it's ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel it's mounted on is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust proof, and we mentioned it's a Margay series, which you can see is a five spoke design, uses a gun metal gray finish, but then if you notice on the edge of the spokes and even on the outer lip, they do a machine finish on there to give some shine to the wheel you can see as we turn it here. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front of the wheel to protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches.
Few dimensions on the wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is six inches. Now, this wheel does have a bolt pattern of five on four and a half inches, and if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five. What you need to do is, it's a little more difficult than an even number of lugs, but what you'll do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either this hole or to this hole, but when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. So on this one, if we measured it, it would be four and a half inches.
So this bolt pattern will be a five lug, four and a half inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,150 pounds. Now, if you notice the center cap is not included with this wheel. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separate on our website.
You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole right here 'cause when you install your center cap, it's gonna go through that pilot hole. The diameter of the pilot hole here is 3.19 inches. The tire that's mounted on this is a Westlake radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester ply for a nice long life, and they do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. This is a radial applied tire, so it is great for highway use.
It is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, so it has sturdy sidewalls so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on other vehicles. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall. Right here, you'll see ST for Special Trailer, 205 75R15, the R means it's a radial tire. Section width is eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 27.1 inches. And this tire is a load range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI, and this tire and wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. Also this tire does have a speed rating on it and they stamp the speed rating on the sidewall, but it's stamped with a letter designation, and where you'll find that it's pretty easy, right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter L stamped on there. Speed rating L will mean this is a 75 mile per hour speed rated tire. They do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years and flat tire services available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake ST 205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D mounted on this 15 inch gun metal gray Margay series aluminum wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.

After one year, these wheels and tires still look great! They support the trailer well and keep their pressure. I chose to keep them covered with RV wheel covers when parked. Still very pleased with my purchase.
