Question:
I have a 2006 Chevy 2500Hd 8ft bed and looking to do a gooseneck hitch and 5th wheel adapter. My question is which GenY adapter is correct for my needs and does this adapter give enough clearance to work with the B and W flush pin hitch? Trailer is the 2023 Flagstaff Classic Ultralite 424BBS

Thanks for reaching out, William!
The Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR is the correct weight rating for your 2023 Flagstaff Classic Ultralite 424BBS and will fit in place as long as your trailer is equipped with a 1621 or 1621HD pin box (check the stickers on the box for this info). Be sure to pick up the Safety Chain Kit # GY49GR as well since the Gen-Y doesn't come with chains.
This pin box will work great with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1067 on your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and since you have a long bed you won't have to worry about turning clearance.
If you don't already have a 7-Way socket in your truck bed then you may also be interested in the Curt Wiring # C56070 so it's easier to connect your trailer wiring.

Hey William, how did the Gen-Y 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box work out with your B&W Turnoverball hitch on the Chevy? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar long-bed truck and trailer combo.
