Trailer Hitch Installation For Draw-Tite 76194 On A 2016 Volvo XC90

Question:

Do YOU do installs? If not, do you have specific info on shops that have done multiple installs? 2016 Volvo XC90 not sure I want to tackle this myself Thanks!

Hello Bill. The Draw-Tite Class 4 Hitch # 76194 is what I recommend for the 2016 Volvo XC90. The install is a bit more on the difficult side because you do need to remove the rear bumper completely, as well as trim part of the bumper and the heat shield. Our installation video is linked below if you want to take a look and see how your feel.

Jesse, Thanks for replying. I had watched y'all's installation video, which is clearly understandable and complete. I am somewhat anxious about doing it myself, and additionally have moved to an apartment, which is problematic. If I were to bring it to you to do install, would you be able to do it in half day? (specifically, if I were to get there by noon, could you complete the install by closing time?). I would be interested in knowing if you have someone closer, but would want to make sure that shop previously has done specific Draw-Tite on XC90, given the issues you state above and are obvious to me from the video. I live in Tupelo MS, 38804 Appreciate the attention and prompt and helpful response. bill

@Bill We can definitely do the install, but we will need the car for a whole day 9-5. We are usually booked about a month out this time of year. Also note that we do not have a waiting area. That said, our installers have done hundreds of similar hitches so they can get it done right. Give customer service a call if you want to look into appointment availability and pricing. As far as installers in your area that are known to do hitch installs, we really only have one option and that is Med-Mart is Pontotoc. I am not as familiar with this installer, but I know they do have experience installing trailer hitches. I do not know if they have done a hitch on a XC90 specifically, but this style of hitch that mounts behind the bumper is not uncommon, so they may have done something quite similar. You can always give them a call and see what they say.
