Question:
I am trying to find a wiring harness for my 2026 Kia Sportage, but due to Kia not yet releasing the 2026 wiring harness, I am now looking at converter kits. Do you have a converter kit that is known to work for 2026 Kia Sportage?

Hey Cody, congrats on the new SUV. I've got the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # C59236 that is universal so it will fit your 2026 Kia Sportage. It has to be spliced into your existing wiring but it will provide you with a 4-way connector to control your trailer or accessory's lighting functions.
The second option I have is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C99DR that fit the 2025 Kia Sportage. This custom-fit T-connector plugs in behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You'll need to pull one of your rear tail lights and unplug the main connector and see if it matches up with the picture below.
Do you have a 2026 Sportage already?

I do know that the 2025 Sportage harness connector will not work due to my Kia dealership already trying that. It resulted in very odd behavior. Left blinker caused both trailer tail lights to blink, right blinker caused both lights to be solid, and braking resulted in no lights at all.

Hello, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately Kia decided to change the connector for the 2026 Sportage. I don't know if I'm able to attach images to these replies, but I suspect the second option won't work.
