Question:

Searching for over load bags for my 2024 Silverado 1500 4WD. I find Air Lift kit AL88288. It looks like a good choice. Unfortunately my truck has Adaptive Ride Control. Are there any Air Lift kits available for trucks with ride control. Thanks. Gary

Hey Gary,

There is an option for air bags on your 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 with adaptive ride control, though not form Air Lift. Instead, what you can use are air bags from Firestone:

- Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2609

Just keep in mind the # F2609 will NOT fit if your Silverado 1500 has a diesel engine. But overall I really like the Ride-Rite better than the Air Lift because they are stronger, with four layers of reinforced rubber - double the amount of the Air Lift - for the best durability.

The only other thing I recommend considering is a compressor to make inflating and maintaining the air bags easier. A wireless option is the simplest to use, the Firestone Air Command # F2610.

Hey Gary, how did the Firestone Ride-Rite air bags work out on your Silverado with adaptive ride control? Your experience could point others in the right direction when choosing between Air Lift and Firestone options.

@SamuelC The Ride Rite bags were a perfect fit and do the job well. I bought the I think the Air Ride compressor system without all the extras and just use the gauge control mounted inside the center council when I need to inflate or deflate the bags. I do have it programed so it keeps 10 lbs of air in the bags all the time, helps lengthen the bag life. I had a local semi shop that was familiar with air bag systems do the install and they did an excellent job tucking and hiding everything including the control gauge inside the council. I'm almost 81 so this is probably my last new truck so I wanted it done right. ETrailer was a great help and their prices were reasonable. Gary M
