We purchased this trailer hitch for our 2023 Nissan Pathfinder and we did not have to cut the fender as mentioned. It fitted under the fender but it is lower than 12” and hits the ramp making it impossible to pull the boat out on steep ramps. Did we get the wrong hitch?

Hey Joseph, so the Curt hitch part # C46DR is for sure a fit for your 2023 Nissan Pathfinder and you did get the correct hitch. What is most likely happening is that your trailer's tongue weight is causing the rear suspension to sag which is causing the dragging. If that is the case a set of air bags like part # AL63WQ which fits your vehicle would be what you'd want.
