Should The Rear End Still Squat w/ a Weight Distribution System Installed?

Question:
I recently assembled my Reese Round Bar Pro 49911 to my Coleman Lantern and 2021 Ford Explorer. I had to install the hitch bar facing up so that the ball mount was higher than the coupler on the trailer. Without the trailer connected I measured appr. 34 inches from the top of all four wheel wells to the ground. After attaching the trailer and sway bars the front wells remained ar 34 inches but the rear was lower by 2 inches. Is this within spec?

Hey Dean welcome back! It sounds like you have the Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution item # RE34FR set up correctly since your front end measurement is 34" before and after your trailer is hooked up. Having some squat in the rear with your trailer loaded up is normal even with a weight distribution system.
If your 2021 Ford Explorer does not have the factory air suspension you can install the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs item # AL87CD to address the additional squat. I do not recommend messing with the settings on the Reese item # RE34FR since you have your front end leveled out perfectly.
