Relay Port Location For Trailer Running Lights On A 2015 Nissan Xterra

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/06/2024

Question:

I have a 2015 Nissan Xterra and I dont have any power for my running lights from the factory trailer adapter that is on the left side of the spare tire. I saw a post about a relay but my Xterra doesnt have a socket to the left of the steering column.

Hey Tom,

Your Xterra likely just need some relays plugged into the fuse panel located behind the passenger side kick panel. I've attached a short video below where Conner installs the relays from Curt's wire harness # C56225 and will show you how to access the relay location.

Hey Tom, how did things go after you added the relays behind the passenger side kick panel on your Xterra? Your update could make it easier for the next person trying to get their trailer running lights working.
