Question:

I own a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with aftermarket bumpers and no lift. I would like to tow it and was referred to you for the tow bar and brackets. The front bumper was bought from Quadratec and the details are below. Do you have an option for it? Thanks! This is a Bundled Item. The parts I recommend for flat towing your 2006 Jeep Wrangler include the following:

- Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420
- D-Ring Adapter for 7/8" D-Rings # BX88357 or 1" D-Rings # BX88358
- Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400
- Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System # HM39524
- High-Low Adapter (see attached article)

Please note that you'll need to confirm with the manufacturer if your front bumper is safe to flat tow with. Some of them are verified and tested to work for flat towing while others say they can't be used for this application.

I really like the Blue Ox system because it's easy to use and rated for 10K so it's more than capable of handling the weight of your Jeep. The Flexo-Coil wiring is the most reliable, and then the Brake-Lite Relay Kit ensures the Brake Buddy Select 3 doesn't cause your brake lights to act goofy while towing.

I ordered the d ring adapter you listed and it is back ordered. I received the email below. Will the road master part work with the Blue Ox? @Eric That Roadmaster Adapter Kit # RM-035-1 won't work, but I see you've already spoken to our customer service team about that. That Blue Ox adapter is what you'll need for that Blue Ox tow bar, but the Roadmaster kit above will work with a Roadmaster tow bar like the Falcon 3HD # RM27NQ. I know you already got the Blue Ox tow bar so at this point it just depends on how fast you're needing all of the parts.
