If you want your vehicle to keep its factory look when you’re not towing, this setup does the trick. The invisible design leaves no bulky crossbar or brackets in sight, and the attachment tabs stay on your tow bar so there’s nothing sticking out from the bumper. Snap-in polyethylene covers keep dirt out of the base plate receivers, so the arms slide in and out smoothly every time you hook up.
Each arm slides into the receiver, twists to lock, and secures with a pull pin. It’s a quick process that makes connecting easy even when you’re on your own. The setup feels solid and reliable thanks to its Removable Draw Bars and Twist Lock Attachment system. The brackets are spaced 24" apart with a bracket height of 16-3/4", so you can plan your towing setup with confidence.
This base plate bolts securely to the chassis—no welding required. The sturdy design spreads towing forces evenly to minimize weight placed on the suspension. Made from durable steel, it’s built for long hauls and rough roads without flexing or loosening over time. It’s the kind of dependable setup you want for cross-country trips.
Already have a tow bar setup? This base plate works directly with Demco, etrailer, and Blue Ox tow bars—no adapter needed. For Roadmaster tow bars, you can use one of four adapters (e98983, e98984, e98979, or e98981, sold separately). It also includes an electrical bracket so you can mount a round connector up front for neat and accessible wiring.
The install is a simple bolt-on job using the included hardware—no welding required. The design lines up cleanly with chassis mounting points for a secure fit. Once installed, it stays put and is ready whenever you need to tow again. It’s an approachable weekend project for anyone comfortable working with basic tools.

I flat towed my 2015 Jeep behind my Class C with absolutely no problems. I installed the system myself and the braking system is spot on with great response when breaking and especially hard breaking. Awesome purchase and well worth the money

Still working well after a year on my 2001 Sahara. Only issue is that I have a M.O.R.E Rock Proof bumper and it mounts butt up against the front round section of the steering box. Had to grind away some of the metal to make sure it wouldnt interfere. Slotting the mounting holes was not enough. Its the same with OEM or the RedHead gearbox.
Rodney said it and executed it. Everything was on time and works as expected.
I ordered the invisible bass plate because I have a smittie built after market rock bumper. It is not approved for using for towing. So I hoped I could do modifications on the bumper to make this work. To My surprise it worked without any changes. I towed My 2005 Jeep with it and it works great with my blue ox towbar. Thanks etrailer.
The base plate and hardware arrived yesterday and I am in the process of installing. Looks great and looks like it will fit. Only issue is there are 4 nuts and washers missing. I can get them from local hardware and I should bein good shape.

About a year with no problems
Installation was smooth!
All went very good, have dealt with etrailer many times and are very pleased
Looks good so far. A bit of confusion with the instructions. I had to loosen the first two bolts going into the bumper quite a bit before the holes on the radiator attachment piece would line up to the bar. Eventually it all worked out.
Great product. Towed my Jeep behind the motorhome and have had no problems.
Easy to install and works as advertised. Two pieces were missing from the package but the etrailer rep got them sent out expedited the following day and I received them in two days.
One of the easiest installations I have ever done. Product was true to description arrived on time.
Very heavy duty, looks well made. Coating is chipping off in a couple places but everything else looks great.
Works great! Hooking up is so much easier than the dolly and mini van!!

Perfect - towed 8500 miles this summer 2024
It fits and has work great through some rough roads. My one disappointment is that the ends of the safety cable has begun to show rust already.
This item worked out perfect. I used it to flat tow my jeep behind my RV this summer on a 9000 mile family road trip.
The bar was easy to install and used all factory locations for a “no-drill” fit. Haven’t installed the tow lights yet but the kit looks complete and well informed
