Question:

Waiting to receive the Yakima lock handles replacements but can’t find instruction would be great to have them in advance. Here my questions: 1 one of the sides is open but the key is broken inside the lock. To replace the mechanism, shall I unscrew when it’s no open or lock position? And the new handle, will be installed in the lock or open position? 2 the other side doesn’t open not I have a key.. can I just remove the handle/lock from the inside and install a new one? Thanks

Hey Filipe, so I attached the install instructions for the part # Y8880348 for you to check out. If you can unbolt/unscrew the broken lock core that would be what you'd need to do if you can't get the key out. You might have to have the key extracted though. The lock installs in the unlocked position.
