Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima replacement SkyBox barrel nut. This is going to replace a missing or damaged barrel nut on the mounting hardware for your Yakima SkyBox rooftop box. This is going to work with the SkyBox model numbers that you see on the screen there or part numbers that you see on the screen. So if you have any of those, you can trust this is gonna work for you because it is a direct replacement from Yakima, so you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. Just to give you a little extra reassurance, you can see this is right about an inch and a quarter in length and just under half an inch in diameter.

It fit perfect in my Yakima Skybox. For reference my box is the older 2006 model with S-handles

Yakima is a great brand, and I can see why you would have a box that is 15 years old - and I'm happy you get to keep using it now :)
This was arguably the best online/mail order experience ever. I didn’t even know what replacement part I needed to make my Yakima Skybox work again, but etrailer.com knew and led me right to it.
