Bike Rack And Swing-Away Adapter for Winnebago Solis Pocket With E-Bike

Updated 02/17/2026 | Published 06/12/2024

Question:

HI. I am shopping for a hitch mount bike rack for my Winnebago Solis Pocket Promaster 1500 chassis. I need to carry one e-bike ~50 lbs and a standard bike. Both have tires that are approx. 2-3 wide. *Both have fenders.*. I have viewed the reviews on several of your products and it appears that the Rocky Mounts HighNoon will work best but I would like your input about whether there are other options to consider. I will also need a swing away hitch mount extender and wonder if the Kuat product will work with the Rocky Mounts rack. I like the Kuat because would like it to swing toward the drivers side.. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

The RockyMounts HighNoon FC Bike Rack # RKY67RR is a good option but there can be limitations. If your fenders come down too far on the tire you still won't be able to mount it properly. I prefer the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY64FR.

This bike rack uses padded clamps so you can hold it by the frame or seat post meaning the size of the fenders won't matter. It also has a weight capacity of 80 lbs per bike so it can definitely handle your e-bike. The one downside is the weight of the carrier which is 63.5 lbs. The HighNoon is quite a bit lighter at 39 lbs.

Both of these can be used with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2" Hitches - Driver's Side # PVD20B.

Hey, how did things turn out with the bike rack setup on your Winnebago Solis Pocket? Did the Hollywood Racks RV Rider or the RockyMounts HighNoon end up working better with your e-bike and standard bike? Your update could make it easier for others comparing these options.
