Heavy gear like a snowplow or grille guard can make the front end sag and throw off steering feel. These Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs fit between the turns of your front coil springs to add extra support right where it’s needed. The microcellular polyurethane foam core cushions and stiffens progressively as weight increases, helping your suspension stay level, absorb shocks, and keep your ride comfortable even with heavy front-end equipment in place.
Stock coils can bottom out or jar you over bumps when loaded down. Each helper spring has an inner core of microcellular polyurethane foam that compresses gradually, soaking up vibration and impact instead of transferring it into the cab. The more weight you add, the firmer they get, so you keep traction and control without sacrificing comfort on rough surfaces or uneven roads.
When your front suspension starts to dip or roll, steering and braking can feel unpredictable. These inserts add stiffness between your coils to help control body movement through turns or sudden stops. With extra load support up front, your truck stays balanced and settled, giving you more confidence when maneuvering with heavy gear mounted or when driving on winding roads.
These helper springs are molded from durable microcellular polyurethane foam that resists abrasion, oil, road salt, and UV damage. For right now it works
I am working with a 2025 Pleasure Way nature 2.2 class B on the Ford Transit chasis. We were experiencing a very rough ride in our RV. Pleasure Way had already installed the SuperSprings helper springs on the back leaf springs. This RV is rated for 11,000 pounds gross weight. We are currently almost 900 pounds below that weight fully loaded. This is probably as heavy as we ever will be loaded and about as light as we will ever weigh.l
I installed the SSR-121-47 SuperSprings in the back to reduce the jumping and slamming we were experiencing while driving and hitting rough spots, potholes and open joints at bridge junctions on the highway. I had to remove the back dually wheels to have adequate access to remove the original bump stops and install these springs.
Next, I installed the Coil SumoSprings CSS-1195 on the front coil springs per instructions. These were easy to install and we finished installing these coil helper springs in about 25 minutes including the setup time to gather the jacks, jack stands, soapy water, etc..
RESULTS:
My wife and I then took a ride to test the results and Oh My!!! What a difference. The jumping and hard slamming in the back suspension smoothed out and became as docile as our Lexus RX 350 car. I took my brother and nephew on a ride before I ordered the SuperSprings for the front and back and my nephew who sat in the back of my RV said the suspension action almost tossed him off the sofa when hitting small defects in the road.
The van tracked so much better. It had been moving left to right even when there was no wind. It was flat in corners and the steering felt firm, not soft and mushy like before. It was so back that the van would drift to the third land when I changed lanes. My wife is so happy. The cab is so much quieter and it is easier for us to have a conversation now. Before, we had to be facing one another and shout to each other in order to be heard.
I had considered upgrading the front struts and back shocks and adding a steering stabilizer to correct the wandering all over the road. The van was hard to handle in speeds above 60 MPH from new to now, 3,700 miles on the van.
We are very happy. We installed upgraded bump stops on our 2019 Sprinter chasis for our 2021 Dynamax Isata 3 24FW and got similar results.
I strongly recommend these products for the Ford Transit 350 HD to provide a more comfortable, controlled ride and reduce white knuckle driving!
Went on a little hard but once started not to bad. Haven't tried yet to tow with them.
I ordered these for my RAM Promaster 3500 because I had heard from fellow owners that they are a worthwhile addition, for increased stability on the road. The instructions are good, and they weren’t too hard to install myself. They are kind of expensive for a couple of rings of dense foam/plastic, but I guess they must be petty heavy duty. I look forward to my next trip to see how they perform.

Bought these for the front of my 2019 Honda Ridgeline. They did not fit at all, too small. However they went on the back ok so that’s where they are. Ordered another pair for the front. Fit them with another on line service. Hope they fit.
Installed these sumo spring spacers in our 2023 Promaster/ Roadtrek conversion van three weeks ago and just returned from a two week 2000 mile road trip with my wife. These spring spacers made an unbelievable improvement in general handling and highway speed handling around semi's, on and off ramps stability, cornering at intersections and dealing with crosswind conditions on the road. They were less and a $200 investment and they were great decision. While they were a little hard to insert into the springs, after watching several installation videos and soaping them up good after lifting each corner of the van, I was able to get them inserted in the springs and adjust them on the coil to where I wanted them at mid coil height. Great product!

This Spring rubber did what it was designed to do and stayed in place.It also was a snap to install
clear instructions, easy install and they work great.
Have worked great on my Expedition towing a 25 ft travel trailer over 9000 miles last summer.
Installed on 2006 F 150 to prevent front sag when using front hitch mounted cooler rack for surf fishing. Easy install. Start at bottom of spring where there is more room to work. Loosely install tie wraps then rotate sumo to top of spring between 2 and 3 coil, then tighten tie wraps. Haven't had chance to evaluate performance with cooler rack.
Massive improvement to my 2018 Max Tow package F-150s towing stability with a 7500lb GVW travel trailer. Does not eliminate chucking and such, but dampens all of the undesirable movements to a negligible level. Towed over 5000 miles with Sumo Springs front and rear, and would not tow without them.
Thank you for the follow up. This product was probably designed for an older generation of coil springs. So, it did not fit my vehicule and was a complete waiste of money. Sorry about the news. Regards.
They aren’t thick enough to make a difference between coils when loaded.
Unbelievably easy to install with instant positive feedback. I tow a 9,000 travel trailer using a weight distribution hitch along with added Sumo Springs rear suspension upgrade. Feels like I'm towing with a 1 ton dually.
I cannot recommend these products enough!
Actually used these on the rear coil overs on our 2008 expedition for a little extra help while pulling our camper. Definitely helped level things out. Simple and great product.
I was very excited about these for my 4x4 2015 Nissan Frontier. I am not completely displeased with them because they do make a mild difference over bumps, but they aren't worth over 100 bucks no way, the fact that I had to CUT THEM to fit due to them being too long made me feel like the company does not due their research when manufacturing them. It was so long that it lapped the beginning on it, so in order to have them installed as shown on the instructions I had to cut nearly 3 inches off... Which meant I had to comely install them, mark then uninstall, cut to fit, then install again. For an item to cost this much I expected better build quality.
Bang for buck it's not worth it, it's overpriced and I wouldn't recommend them for that cost.

Hey Robert. These do fit a wide range of vehicle old and new. They are fitted based off the spacing between the coils on the vehicle so it is very possible that your year of Colorado would be the same as an older vehicle. I know it's been a year but, If you can measure the gap between the middle coils to the nearest 1/16" with your vehicle as level as possible and unloaded, I can look into this for you.
