Question:

Can you provide advice on connecting the trailer hitch wiring harness to the existing 2024 Kona wiring? My installer tells me there are no prewired connectors so it will require splicing. Additionally, he says the rear tail light assembly will need to be removed for a clean run from the wires down to the trailer hitch. Thanks!

Well Bill, it will require splicing the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59496 into the tail light wiring on your 2024 Hyundai Kona as your installer said. As far as removing the tail light assemblies this does seem rather odd as it would appear you will be able to access the tail light wiring from inside the rear compartment on your Kona. This is the way it is done on most vehicles with a rear storage compartment. Currently as of 6/14/2024 we have not had a Kona in our shop to create an install video for identifying the best way to access the tail light wiring and where to run the wiring.
