Question:

I have a 2022 Momentum 350g, I came across a MoRryde RPB72-FD pin box, looks like it will bolt right up but the king pin looks to be 4-5” shorter than the original Lippert. Any problems other than being closer to the cab of the pickup? I have a long bed.

Hey Russ,

With a long bed the difference on pin box length won't be an issue, but we will need to check a few other things to make sure that you're getting the correct fit. MORryde has two capacities for their upgraded pin boxes; one for the overall pin box capacity, and one for the shear spring capacity. The overall capacity can exceed the GVWR of your trailer but you'll want to make sure you fall within the shear spring capacity range for a smoother ride quality.

The MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 18K to 21K Trailers w/ Lippert Rhino # MR55QR you were looking at has a Lippert Rhino bolt pattern. You'll want to check for any labels that say Rhino or Rhino Box to confirm that this is what you have. There should also be a sticker on the pin box or close to it that lists the serial #, RPO #, and LCI Item # that we can use to determine your bolt pattern. You can also use the attached guide below to measure for your bolt pattern.

From what I can find your 2022 Grand Design Momentum 350G has a 16,800lbs GVWR so if you had a Lippert Rhino bolt pattern you would want the # MR83QR (14,001lbs - 18,000lbs GVWR). If you have a different bolt pattern let me know and I can find the correct fit.
