Question:

I have a Karavan boat trailer and need a new axle. The old part is 310-02164. Do you have a replacement/substitute axle? Thanks, Gerald

Hi Gerald; I wasn't able to find anything that corresponds with that axle part number through Karavan. More than likely it is discontinued which is why none of the Karavan parts sites list it with the specs. To find a replacement axle I recommend checking the capacity and measuring the length.

The length will be the hub face to hub face measurement. To find the capacity check out the axle tag. If you aren't able to find anything on the axle tag pulling the hubs and identifying the bearings will help figure this out. Once you have this information you can use the link below to all of our axles which can be filtered by capacity and length to find a replacement. If one is not available, you could use a universal system like the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR2000S02 which fits any frame width.
