TRAILER VALET TV5X: 1 Does it stay attached to trailer always, if not which side of tongue to mount it to?

The Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 does not always have to be attached to the trailer. The mount is able to stay on the frame and you can store the mover in your trailer, vehicle or leave at home. I personally prefer to mount it on the passenger side of the trailer tongue as it feels more comfortable there but you can use it on whichever side is best for you.

Trailer Valet actually has a dolly/jack that is designed for attaching to the coupler like you mentioned. For that you'd want the part #TVXL25 for if you have a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball or part #TVXL2 for if you have a 2 inch hitch ball size. I…

Yes, the Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly #TVXL25 does come with solid rubber tires. We carry the replacements here with part #TVXLSR if you ever need to replace one, but Trailer Valet did upgrade from the pneumatic tires for this superior design.

The Trailer Valet, #STC-V211, is rated for 500 pounds tongue weight. Typically boat trailer tongue weights are lower than regular trailer tongue weights because boats are heavier at the back. The unit has a 5,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity.
