Will Redarc Tow-Pro Brake Controller Install Require a 2023 Ram 1500 Classic to be Reprogrammed?

I have a 2023 Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman model with the 5.7 hemi engine, the truck did not come with the tow package or a trailer brake controller will this fit and with the plug and play harness will the ECU have to be programmed after installation. I was under the impression that if you plug into the trucks harness you need to have the ECU programmed to accept the brake controller or is this true with only the factory brake controller. If I am completely off base with this what would you suggest.

Hey Sal, great to hear from you again!
The Redarc Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # 331-TPH-020 will plug directly into the port on your 2023 Ram 1500 Classic so you can use either the Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR or the Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR for towing trailers. I actually really like these brake controllers and I recommend them whenever I can.
The only time you would need to have your truck computer reprogrammed (or flashed) would be if you had the factory brake controller installed. Since you don't have that, this brake controller setup will be a simplified plug-and-play installation for you!
