Hi Chris,

Yes, you'll need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C37RV. This class III trailer hitch has a 4,000lb maximum towing capacity and 600lb tongue weight capacity, but you'll still want to refer to your Santa Fe's owner manual to verify its capacities.

If you're planning on towing a trailer or adding lights to a hitch mounted accessory then I recommend also picking up the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR to transfer your light signals back.

Kevin, If I'm only wanting to add a 4-pole connector to my 2022, Hyundai without factory tow package, can I do it with the CU94FR harness? In other words does the factory connector exist in the area behind the drivers side rear wheel, even though I don't have the factory towing package, to plug the Curt wiring harness in? Thank you.

@Bryana No, if your 2022 Saanta Fe doesn't have the factory tow package the factory harness to plug into wouldn't be there for the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR to connect to. It's super easy to remove the cover that hides the harness to check if you do have it though. You'll need pop out the three push-pin connectors and use a socket with a long extension to unthread the two plastic nuts holding the cover up. You'll need to pull down on the cover and keep a little bit of pressure on it as you loosen the plastic nuts, otherwise they'll just keep spinning and the cover won't come off. I've attached Dave's installation video below so you can see this process. If the factory harness isn't there for you to plug into then you would need to go with a universal-fit harness like the Curt # C59236 and would need to splice in all of your wiring.
