The washer has a curve to it. Should I put the convex or concaved part of the washer against the nut head?

You'd want to put the convex side of the washer against the bolt head of the hardware that comes with the Curt hitch # C13146 when installing it. That way the head pushes it flat as you tighten it which acts as a lock nut.

Hey Chris, the CURT Class 3 Trailer Hitch #C37RV won't require any bumper modification, but the etrailer Class 3 Trailer Hitch will require some underbody panels/fascia to be trimmed for install.
