what is the length of the section coming off of the receiver that has the gusset on it?

I am not totally sure what dimension you are looking for, are you asking about the length of the shank section that fits into the vehicle hitch or are you looking for the vertical height of the part that can be set at various heights?

I'm looking for the measurement of the section that reduces ground clearance.

@Rob In the lowest setting the part # PH54FR has a drop of 11 inches. Since that dimension is to the top of the hitch opening you'd add 2 inches to that plus 1/2 inch lip so that would be 13-1/2 inches.
