Question:
I have a 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness with OEM 4 pin towing connection. Im wanting to upgrade to the 7 pin to allow the use of electric brakes on a camper. What all parts would I need for that type of installation? Thank you.

You already have a 4-way on your 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness so the only thing you need is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, breakers, and everything else required for installation. There are no plug and play options available so you will have to run some wires up to the cab (if you're adding a brake controller) and engine.
If you're adding a 7-way so you can use a brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR. This brake controller is simple, reliable, and doesn't take up space in your vehicle. The main unit installs behind the dash so only the control knob is visible. You will also need the # RED69FR for installation.
I have an installation video below that include the # ETBC7 and brake controller for your reference.
