Is it safe to use round U-bolts on a square trailer axle?

You need to use square U-Bolts with having a square axle tube. Trying to use round U-Bolts you risk damaging both the bolts and the axle as it creates pressure points rather than distributing the load across the surface. We have a few different size bolts you can see in the list below.
1-1/2" U-Bolts # SP01-120
1-3/4" U-Bolt # 175130
2" U-Bolts # SP01-160
