Question:
Hi, I have a 2013 Open Range fifth wheel that has 4400 lb Lippert axles that have a manufacture date of September 2012 see attached picture. I would like to upgrade the brakes to self-adjusting, but I am confused about Before May 2009, and After May 2009 versions. I have removed my brakes and measured the distance between the four holes which seems to be 2-13/16 all the way around square pattern - see picture. This seems to be at odds with the After 2009 description, so now Im not sure which one is right. Can you advise? Thanks,

Thank you for the photos, though there is only one measurement there so it would be very difficult for me to tell you exactly what you currently have. That said, the most important measurement you can take is of your brake mounting flange, and I would be very surprised if the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 4.4K # K23-478-479 don't work for you. The bolt hole measurements of these brakes need to match up with your brake mounting flange, as opposed to measuring your current brakes.
In regards to the Dexter Electric Brake Kit for 4.4K Axles Manufactured Before May 2009 # 23-454-455 these are going to be a pretty rare fit, and are only meant for certain Dexter axles from before that date. Seeing as how you have an axle from three years later and a different manufacturer, it simply doesn't make sense that these would be a fit for you.
