Question:

Towed vehicle is a 2020 Ford F150 with a 70Ah AGM battery G519S. The 10A fuse included with the Demco 6252 Charge Line Kit is blowing and results in the battery discharging. What recommendations do you have to resolve this problem? Thank you

Hi Chris,

If the fuse is blowing on your Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Line Kit # DM66VR then it means it's trying to pull more than 10amps, which would end up burning up the wire. I would start by doublechecking your wiring to make sure everything is fully secure with no damage to the wiring and that you have the wire connected to the correct pin on the 6-pole socket. If you stripped the casing back too far it's possible that the wire is touching something else wired into the socket and causing it to pull more than it should. It's also possible that your battery is just needing more of a charge and is pulling more than the kit can handle. If this is the case then you could swap out to the 15amp # RM-156-25 to better charge the battery.
