Question:
2019 Jeep Wrangler: I am purchasing a Blue Ox base plate and tow bar BX1139 and BX7380. What is the difference between the Demco Wiring Kit DM9523010-54 and the Blue Ox BX8848 for much less?

Helpful Expert Reply:
There is really only one difference between the Demco 4-Diode Universal Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit with 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled Connector # DM9523010-54 and the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit # BX8848, which is that the Demco comes with the 7-Wire to 6-Wire cord as well as a vehicle-side 6-way while the Blue Ox kit requires those be purchased separately.
So if you were to go with the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit # BX8848 you would also need the Blue Ox 7-Wire to 6-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord # BX88206.
This cord does come with the vehicle-side 6-way, and that would give you the same kit as the Demco, just a different brand. Both options will work with your 2019 Jeep Wrangler, and both coiled cords even have the same 7 foot length.
With that in mind, I recommend going for the less expensive option between the Demco # DM9523010-54 and the Blue Ox # BX8848 with # BX88206.
I have added links below to the instructions and some video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like.
