Does The Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter # 119147KIT Require Splicing On 2019 Mercedes GLC300?
Published 11/30/2023 >
Question:
I am interested in a tail light conversion kit for my 2019 GLC300. Watching YouTube installation vids on various Tekonsha kits I see that some require the vehicles tail light wires to be cut to splice the Modulite adapter in while others have some kind of inductive? gizmo that wraps around each wire to sense the signal. How will the kit you have for my 2019 GLC300 work?

I see you found the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 which does require you to splice into the tail light wiring on your 2019 Mercedes-Benx GLC300.
If you wanted a harness which does not require splicing that would be the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. It has the sensors which detect power going through the wiring rather than pulling power from the wiring.
