2019 Mercedes GLC 300 Plug and Play Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation

Question:

2019 Mercedes GLC 300 - needs wiring harness. Already has tow hitch installed. Your site confirmed item #118747 would fit. Questions: 1. Is there a battery connection located in the cargo area, or will I need to run wiring all the way to the front of vehicle? 2. Is an installation video available? 3. UHaul suggested I find a plug-and-playinch harness to eliminate cutting wires on vehicle. UHaul did not want to install the item they had in stock because it would void the vehicle warranty if they start cutting wires. Is #118747 plug-and-play? Thanks!

The Tekonsha trailer wiring kit part # 118747 is a plug and play option that fits your 2019 Mercedes GLC 300 but does require running a wire up to the battery. This is because the taillights of your vehicle can't handle the amperage draw of the trailer taillights as well. So the only way to isolate all of the wiring circuits of your vehicle is to draw directly from the battery. This is why there isn't a power source near rear of vehicle that would be safe to use.
