If Im using a 4 flat plug in for trailor. Can I run a wire from my 7 connector to the positive terminal of the battery mounted on the trailor?

You can run a wire from your 7-way to the battery on your trailer but you will want to do this via a 7-way on the trailer side. The best solution is to cut off the existing 4-way and add a connector like the # PK12706. Then you can use 10 gauge wire like the # 10-1-1 to run from the 7-way connector to your battery. You could also use a plug and lead like the # H20043.
