If you’re adding a brake circuit, charge line, or other accessories, this 6-pole socket makes the jump from a simple 4-way connection easy. The Blue Ox 6-Pole, Round Pin, Trailer Wiring Socket gives you six pin positions to expand your setup beyond basic lighting. It’s a clean way to add those extra circuits without piecing together multiple adapters.
No guessing which wire goes where. Once you pull the rubber plug on the back of the socket, every terminal position is labeled by function. You can match each pin quickly and know exactly which one handles power, ground, brakes, or lights. That labeling keeps the wiring straightforward and helps avoid mistakes during install.
This plug mounts directly at the vehicle end and pairs with your existing tow wiring or coiled cable. It’s a plug-only design that keeps things tidy and secure without adding extra cable bulk. Most folks just attach it in place of their old connector and are ready to tow again within minutes.
The center pin typically handles the 12-volt accessory circuit, while the ground sits at the 1 o’clock position when viewed from the front of the connector. That standard layout makes it easy to match up with typical 6-way trailer wiring and keeps your power feed consistent every time you hook up.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the blue ox six pole round pin trailer wiring socket for the vehicle end. This will allow you to establish a nice secure connection between your trailer and your towing vehicle with the six pole round pin wiring socket. It is a hard plastic six pole socket that will install in the rear of your two vehicle, and connects your trailer to your towing vehicle. Or, this part can also be used in the front of your vehicle that's being flat towed. Does have the concealed terminals here for durability. Pull off the rubber boot and you can see where your wire connections are.
Slide your boot over the wire, make your connections and then just slide this up to protect it. Also has a nice spring loaded lid on here, which will help keep dust and moisture out of the terminals on the front here. It is a two hole mounting style. The distance between those mounting holes center to center is two and 7/8 inches. But that should do it for the review on the blue ox six pole round pin trailer wiring socket for the vehicle end..

Just in the last month one of the two mounting tabs broke. This happens when we hit a particularly large rough bump or pothole. This time it was very cold - probably in the teens- which makes plastic parts even easier to break.
