Where is the factory plug on 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Do you have a harness that works on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The factory brake controller connector on your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is located under the dash behind the hood latch, as shown in the provided photo. Keep in mind, the connector will only be there if the vehicle has the factory tow package which includes the 7-way trailer connector at the rear bumper.

If you have the tow package, to install the Tekonsha # TK90160 Primus brake controller on your 2021 Grand Cherokee you'll need the Tekonsha # TK93VR wiring harness. One end plugs into the controller, the other end into the factory connector under the dash.

I see that you'd also looked at the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty, part # RED24FR which is the controller I'd personally prefer. The controller is remotely mounted, with the control unit installing under the dash where it can't be seen. The trailer brakes would be operated using the control knob which can be mounted anywhere within reach of the driver. An unused switch knockout makes the perfect mounting spot, but if one isn't available there's a mounting bezel available, part # 331-TPSI-001. If you have the tow package, you can still use the # TK93VR harness, but you'll also need the # 331-TPH-017 adapter.

If you don't have the tow package, the connector will not be present and you'll need to hardwire the controller. You'll need to install a functional 4 pole connector using part # 118727. You'd install the controller using our # ETBC7 Brake Controller Install Kit. The Primus includes the necessary wiring pigtail, but if you went with the Tow-Pro Liberty, you'll need the # RED69FR pigtail.

@Salman I checked with my buddy that works at Tekonsha, and he tells me that the brake controller connector is located under the dash to the right of the steering column. Find the OBDII port under the steering column. To the left of that, you'll see a large white connector with a bolt running through the middle of it. The brake controller connector will be right on top of that. For a Tekonsha brake controller, you'll need the # TK93VR harness. Hope that helps!
