Trimming Questions About Installing a Hitch on a 2024 Volvo XC60

Question:
In an answer to a question you wrote, Yes, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76194 is a confirmed fit for your 2024 Volvo XC60... The receiver tube will sit just below the fascia so youll have to trim out a hole for it to fit. Can you expand a bit on this? What has to be trimmed? What hole? On you video on older model a cut out wasnt shown. Thanks!

To install the Draw-Tite item # 76194 hitch on a 2024 Volvo XC60 you'll need to cut out a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangular section off your Volvo's fascia that faces the ground. It's just a thin piece of plastic that extends past your bumper underneath the SUV. Trimming this piece allows the 2" receiver and the safety chain loops to extend below the vehicle and bumper. The only way you will ever see the hole that needs to be cut out is if you lie underneath your Volvo and look up.
The Draw-Tite Hitch item # 76194 is custom fit and bolts to your 2024 Volvo XC60 with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 6,000 lbs towing capacity and a 900 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I have linked the installation instructions below so you can see exactly how to get this hitch installed.
