Correct Replacement Motor for a Ventline V-164-1 Motor

Published 10/26/2023

Question:

Good Afternoon We ordered this motor as a replacement for the motor in the range of a Roadtrek Chevy 200 Popular 1998. I thought I ordered the correct one and understood that we would have to order a new fan. However, my husband is struggling to figure out how to get this new one mounted. I am suspecting that I ordered the wrong one. I have attached photos of the mount bar in the range hood where the motor is attached to. Also photos of the two motors. You can see that the newer motor is much smaller and the holes in the mount bar are too far apart. He has attempted to create a template to modify the mount but cant seem to make it work with the current mount bar. Any help is MUCH appreciated

I spoke with Ventline about your Replacement 12V DC Motor for Ventline, Ventadome, and Vanair Fans # BVD0218-00 and they mentioned that this is the correct motor for your V-164-1 motor, however, to get the new motor to work you're going to have to use the included drill template to drill the new holes to the proper spacing.
