Question:

Will this towbar fit the BX1675 base plate that is recommended for my 2011 GMC Acadia? I see that it has a 5000 lb load limit. The Acadia is less than 5000 lbs

I do have a solution for you, but the Blue Ox Acclaim # BX4330 will not fit the # BX1675 base plate on a 2011 GMC Acadia. The Acclaim Tow Bar will only fit base plates with arms that are spaced 23" to 30" apart. The arms on the # BX1675 base plate are only 18" apart. So they will not be compatible.

Instead, I recommend going with the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # e47ZR. This is a very solid non-binding tow bar which installs directly into a 2" hitch receiver. This tow bar is rated for 6,000 lbs. It does not have the same width limitations as the Blue Ox tow bar, and will work nicely with the # BX1675 base plate. It also includes built in safety cables.
