How To Determine The Correct Replacement Landing Gear Set For Your Trailer

Question:
Hi, I need to replace my landing leg. The distance between the brackets is 18 7/8 and the length of the outer tube is 33 7/16. Are you able to tell me what leg I need?. both legs have their own motors which hang out the side of the leg. Many Thanks

With an outside weld stop dimension of 18-7/8" you would unfortunately have to cut off the current brackets and have a qualified welder weld on new brackets to match the weld stops of the new landing gears. The Lippert Electric Landing Gear Set # LC333964 you were looking at has an industry standard 15-1/2" inside measurement and 17-1/2" outside measurement, so the included brackets would need to be welded to the frame of the trailer to accommodate this.
This landing gear has one motor for both legs and can be oriented above or in front or behind of the driver's side landing gear depending on what works best for your space. You would want to see how much open room you have to fit a new style of landing gear and determine if the 6,000lb capacity will be enough to handle the portion of weight that your current landing gears are supporting. You'll also want to get a retracted and extended length of your current landing gear to ensure that the new landing gear is going to have enough travel to accommodate your trailer's needs.
If you can get me the year/make/model of your trailer, the amount of space you have to accommodate the motor, and the extended/retracted length of your current landing gear I'd be happy to find the correct fit for your trailer's needs.
