Can 6K Equal-i-zer Bars Be Used with 12K Equal-i-zer Head

Question:
I have a 2017 Ram 2500 4x4 towing a 2013 forest river Mini Lite with a GVWR of 4780 I have an Equalizer 2 distribution system rated for 1200 lbs TW, which is more than I need: will 600 lb bar fit in the more sizeable head: there may be some looseness at the hitch head where the pins go through, is there a reducer made for the hitch head to accommodate the smaller torsion bar, similar to a reducer for the hitch head to the receiver on the truck? I also have a weigh-safe hitch with the weight scale built-in, I have towed the trailer with it, and the Ram handles it pretty well, but I think a 400 to 600 lb distribution hitch would be better.

Helpful Expert Reply:
In order to down-size to the 600 lb Equal-i-zer system you need the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37061ET which comes with the smaller bars and the appropriate matching head size. You can still use the same shank, but since the bars are different sizes you need to have everything matching for the system to work properly.
There aren't any adapters because that would cause issues with a weight distribution system.
If you already have the smaller bars then you just need the Replacement Head # EQ90-02-0600.
