Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Equal-i-zer replacement weight distribution system head. This is going to replace the head unit for your Equal-i-zer weight distribution system, rated at 6,000 pounds of gross towing weight and 600 pounds of tongue weight. This is a direct replacement from Equal-i-zer, so you can trust it is going to work with your shank and your ball and your spring arms. So you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. This does not include the hardware that you're gonna need to get this mounted onto your shank.
It's not gonna include the shank, the ball, or spring arms, or any of the other components. It's just the head unit, but it will accommodate your spring bars to slide right in place there. You can see these are going to have the square design, so it'll work with your square spring bars and so it will do a good job for you. You will wanna make sure that you're getting the hitch ball torque down to the specifications for your Equal-i-zer system. But other than that, it should do a really good job replacing that original head unit for your system.

Clean, new, quality product in pristine condition. Still using it now one year later. Only "issue" at the time we received it was it was so new it was over-tightened from the factory - the nuts had to be slightly loosened in order to manipulate the anti-sway bars once inserted. (Apparently that's pretty common, from what I read elsewhere online.) But I'd rather have that experience than get something weathered or rusted or of poor quality.
The Equalizer hitch parts I received were exactly what I needed to adapt our trailer hitch setup to a new tow vehicle. More importantly, Martha was super helpful - understood what I was trying to accomplish, and found the right parts for us. Great experience!
Delivery was on time and the product was as advertised. Etrailer serves a vital need for those who want to modify or maintain their towing equipment without the need for full replacement.
This new equalizer hitch head is replacing the bent well used one that can with my trailer. It's an exact match and etrailer had the best price.
I received the replacement head and bolts today came sooner than I expected product looks good both look good this is to fill a replacement head for parts that were left in a trailer when I bought it so that's all the information I can give you now
