Is a Gap on Either End of Cross Tube Acceptable for Draw-Tite Hitch Installation on 2023 F-150
Updated 08/15/2023 | Published 08/14/2023 >
Question:
I’m trying to install on my 2023 F150 XLT and it seems to be too narrow. There is a gap and it scares me to have a gap! How snug is it supposed to fit between the frame?

I wouldn't be concerned with the gap on the ends of your cross tube. The only thing that matters is that the 4 bolts that you use to install the # DT35MR are snug and secure. Assuming you have installed these correctly, and used the proper torque according to the instructions, nothing is wrong and the hitch will work as intended. The amount of space on the ends doesn't mean anything.
