Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Optronics LED oval interior or exterior light. This light is great for illuminating a step or stairwell or pavement area that is at the base of steps or ramps. It's a surface mount installation. It's a two-wire design, so white wire's your ground wire, black wire's your power wire. The light is an LED light, so it has a multi diode design which helps maximize the overall light output. LEDs are also great replacements for incandescent lights.
They last longer, they burn brighter, and they're more efficient. With LEDs you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments. This unit contains a die cast aluminum housing that's coated for protection against rust and corrosion and UV exposure. It's black in color. We have a clear polycarbonate lens that allows plenty of light to come through, and the unit is covered with a lifetime LED warranty.We're gonna go over the measurements, and then I'll hook it up to power so you can see what it looks like with power running to it.
So edge to edge going this direction is about 2 1/2 inches. Edge to edge going this direction measures about four inches, and then the overall depth, that's how far it sticks out from the installation surface, that's about 1 5/16 inches. And then the mount holes on the unit are separated on center by about 2 15/16 inches.We're gonna go ahead and hook it up. So the black wire is the power wire, and the white wire is the ground wire. So you can see here that the light sends out a nice, consistent signal.
Plenty of light output. I'm gonna make sure I've got everything connected properly. There we go. Plenty of light output, and the clear lens allows plenty of light to come through. Again, like I said earlier, it does have multiple diodes or multiple LEDs, so the multi diode design really helps optimize the overall performance and light output that comes from the unit.
But as you can see here, the light goes down at a downward angle, so once mounted it'll really do a great job at illuminating whatever area is below the light.That's gonna do it for today's look at the LED oval interior or exterior light.
