Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident: Up to 5,000 lbs of Front-End Load Support

When the front end starts to sag under a heavy load, steering and braking can get unpredictable. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs with internal jounce bumpers give you up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity. They help keep the front of your vehicle level from side to side and front to back so steering stays tight, braking feels consistent, and your headlights stay aimed where they should.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Internal Jounce Springs Absorb Bumps and Shocks

Rough roads and uneven pavement don’t have to make your ride harsh. Each air spring has a closed-cell urethane jounce inside that kicks in when air pressure isn’t enough to handle the load. The jounce absorbs shocks smoothly and progressively stiffens as weight increases, cutting down on bounce, sway, and bottoming out. Even if the air pressure drops, the jounce springs act as a fail-safe to keep your suspension protected until you can refill the bags.

Dial In Your Ride: Adjustable Air Pressure From 5 psi to 100 psi

Every load and road is different, so being able to tune your suspension matters. These air springs adjust from 5 psi up to 100 psi for precise support. Inflate both evenly for front-to-back leveling or set each side independently for off-center loads. Manual inflation valves are included, or you can pair the system with an onboard compressor (sold separately) for in-cab control while driving.

Built to Last Through Real Work: Reinforced Rubber and Corrosion-Resistant Endcaps

Longevity matters when you’re depending on your suspension for safety and control. The LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate uses 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber air springs with high-strength Zytel nylon endcaps that are lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. The urethane internal jounces need no maintenance and perform reliably in both hot and cold conditions. Along with heavy-duty brackets, hardware, and tubing included for install, the design is built for years of service under heavy-duty use.

Install It Yourself: Straightforward Setup Between Frame and Leaf Springs

This system mounts between your frame and leaf springs with hardware and air lines included. Once installed, just inflate through the manual valves to set your preferred pressure. The layout makes it ideal for DIY installation using basic tools—no complicated wiring or special equipment required—so you can get back on the road with balanced support under load.

I installed the airlift on my Fr3 30DS class A for more stability and to control the swaying. Well it did the job really well but the added bonus was that it reduced the road noise incredibly. Thank you, product highly recommended.

by:

Installed the AirLift bags to improve the ride of my rig. The results have been outstanding. Ride and handling are remarkably improved. Overall I am very glad I installed this product.

The instructions were very simple to follow and the kit from Air Lift made a world of difference in the ride. Not only was it easy to install the kit on both sides, but I was surprised to find that I didn't even have to remove the tires. However, I did use the levelers to give me a little more room between the springs and the frame. The only thing I would add to the instructions was how to remove the jounce bumpers (it just says to remove them). One side had a bolt with a 14mm hex head which was inserted up from the bottom, but the nut was a 15mm hex. If you try to use a 15mm socket on the bolt head, I think you may get the socket stuck inside the jounce bumper. Even a deep 14mm socket was tight against the bumper and not long enough to reach the bolt head unless I used an extension. The other side was also a 14mm hex head bolt, but it threaded directly into the frame with no nut. It's easy to see the bolt head once the bumper is out, but not so much with only a couple of inches between the bottom and the springs. All of the components seem very high quality and well made. Of course, etrailer shipped everything very quickly and I'm sure they were only a phone call away if I would have needed help with the installation. 2016 Holiday Rambler 36SBT

Purchased for a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Open Road F53/22K Lbs chassis. I intended to start my suspension upgrade hear as I had a list to the front passenger side and this seemed the fist thing that needed correcting and I would proceed from there with sway bars, shocks etc. It has been a year and I see no need.
Much to my surprise, these air bags were easy to install, under 3hrs., and corrected the list to one side, softened the front end jarring from the road and greatly reduced the suc-in/push of passing semi trucks. I run 55lbs of air on the pass. side and 45/50 on the driver. I would say they corrected 80% of my problems and have not seen the need to add/correct sway bars or shocks. Also limited the front end bounce from large dip in the road. The only other thing I am considering adding is a front end center steering wheel stabilizer.

by:

It was very hard to install the one top bolt on the passenger side. The frame didn't allow you to get a wrench or socket on the nut. Very tight. Everything else went well.

by:

Regarding the installation on a 2012 Thor/Damon Daybreak 28PD: The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 was installed in about 3.5 hours with hand tools. No drilling required. Wheels were not removed, though hydraulic jacks were employed w/jack stands for safety. Instructions provided/downloaded were very clear. The valve stems replaced the hardware securing the front license plate bracket which made inflating convenient. Note that later, the gauge, air pump & hardware were added, but the valve stems were maintained. This system provided a marked improvement in ride quality. The rear axle air springs are on the list for installation during the first of 2023.

by:

Hard to say if I like it or not. Really don't notice much difference. Also, when I park on a site and my automatic jacks come out. If my tires are off the ground or close to being off the ground then the bags are really stretched, so I am afraid this will weaken and tare them. So I have to lower my unit, drive up on some boards and then re extend my jacks. So this takes a lot more time then I had to use before.

I have left them on and they are still functional with what they do. I still put boards under my front tires to drive up on if the site is off a lot for when my jacks are deployed.

After a bad experience with [online vendor] I ordered these from etrailer and received them in just a few days. I installed this complete bolt-on kit in under an hour. I have never had something so easy to install, improve the ride and handling as these air bags did. Just 30 lbs of air and no more roll, quieter smoother ride and no more anxiety passing trucks. I highly reccommend these from etrailer.

@FrankP That is great to hear Frank! I am glad they made a difference in your ride and are working well. How often are you taking that Thor out on the road?

by:

This was exactly what our motorhome needed. The air bags firmed up the suspension and tightened the steering for better control.

by:

As a mechanic for 50 years I had the necessary tools,my wife at 83 and I at 84 installed the air boots. They were easy to install and made a great difference in the handling, they raised the front end and helped eliminate the sway from passing tractor trailers and high cross winds on I-95. They fit perfectly on our 2020 Ford RV motor home F53 model, no drilling necessary, in the frame.

by:

Awesome products and great customer ser vice.

by:

Easy installation looking forward to ride improvements

by:

Easy to install but have not ran a test run with my motor home as of yet but I’m happy with the installation and how well the air bags are built.

  • Recommended Anti-Sway Bar, Steering Stabilizer, and Air Bags for 2018 Thor ACE 30.3
You're already on the right track with everything you looked at. Your 2018 Thor ACE 30.3 has a GVWR of 18,000 lbs so I recommend the following: -Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer w/ Custom Brackets for Class A Motorhomes # RM33RR -Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar - 1-1/2" Diameter # RM-1139-146 -Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar - 1-3/4" Diameter # RM-1139-148 If you want to add air bags you can using the # AL88240 for the front and # AL57344 for the rear. • Recommended Air Bags for a 2020 Thor ACE 30.3 to Help w/ Ride Height and Clearance
Welcome back Michael. I don't have any parts that are designed specifically to lift your Thor ACE motorhome but I do have a solution that will help your suspension from sagging. If your suspension is flexing because of the weight of your motorhome a set of front and rear air bags will limit how much your leaf springs will compress. This in return will raise your ride height, giving you additional clearance for your landing gear and steps. To add a front and rear air bags to your 2020...

What's odd too is there's no picture of it in the install diagram of everything that comes with the kit and I can't find any pictures of it in the install pictures we take where we make sure to include every component that it comes with. Yes you could use an air bag kit for your 2017 Winnebago Sunova 36Z like the Air Lift # AL88240 to help level out your RV from side to side. You'd have to put a little more air pressure in the side that seems to be sagging and the trailer will sit level.

Hey James, thanks for reaching out! The Front # AL88240 and Rear # AL57344 air spring kits for a 2015 Ford F-53 chassis will install in a similar fashion but we don't have any videos for the rear air bag kit like you mentioned. If I was in your case I would definitely install the rear bags as well. We actually recommend adding suspension enhancements to the rear axles before adding stuff to the front axles as you'll see a bigger improvement in performance. You can add them to both, but...

  • Will An Airbag Kit Interfere With My 2022 Jayco Precept With The Radius Rods Installed?
Hey Don, I did some digging and reached out to AirLift about the issue with those radius rods on your 2022 Jayco Precept. The brackets needed to install an airbag system on that frame would need to install in the same spot the radius rods frame/axle brackets need to install. Thus creating conflict with the install requiring custom fabricated brackets to mount in a different way. The reason sumo springs are better for that application is because they would replace the factory jounce...

  • What Can I Do To Prevent Shaking At Highway Speeds On A 2014 Thor Ace/Ford F-53?
Hey Derek, thanks for reaching out. You made a good call adding the front steering stabilizer and front sway bar. If those didn't take care of the shaking, that makes me think this is a balance, tire, or alignment issue. Before you add any more aftermarket upgrades, I'd recommend getting the front end aligned and making sure all the tires are properly balanced and inflated to the proper PSI. That stuff alone fixes a ton of “shaking at highway speed” complaints on the F53. Once you have...

  • Will Air Bags for 2016 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34TGA Help with Lean to Passenger Side
Hey Mark, if the lean is due to the weight in your Tiffin not being distributed evenly from left to right then yes air bags would help like with the part # AL88344 for the rear and then # AL88240 for the front. But I would first make sure your suspension is in good working order as these kits can't compensate for that. It's not unheard of that a motorhome leans so it's not for sure your suspension is bad but it would be worth checking.
