Question:

Hi, I have 2023 Big Tex 35SV single axle trailer that I would like to add brakes to. It has unspecified 3500 lbs axles with 4 bolt flanges. The wheels are 5 on 5 Are these the right hubs and brake assemblies: 84556UC3-EZ 23-26-27 Or do I need something different, or would you recommend a different part for a specific reason? Ill obviously need a plug and a brake away batter box as well, but I assume those are not specific to the axle. Thank you for your help!

Yes, the # 84556UC3-EZ is the correct hub and drum assembly and the # 23-26-27 will work for brakes. However, you might want to consider the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust # 23-468-469 for brakes instead. Since they are self-adjusting, you won't have to worry about remembering to manually adjust your brakes.

For a 7-way you can use the Hopkins 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # HM20048. If you want a junction box use # 3375601101. Then for a breakaway kit we have the # 20400.
